Westpac has announced more job cuts.
30 Assistant Branch Manager roles will be cut. These cuts come on top of last week’s branch closure announcements which meant more than 60 of us are facing an insecure future. This latest announcement raises further questions about what the future of work will look like for all Westpac, St George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA branch employees.
Assistant Branch Managers are now facing an insecure and unknown future.
These job cuts will have an impact on all of us. We will be expected to pick up the additional workloads and work through our breaks to get the work done.
Telling our story is important
Our stories matter. If you are an ABM, or work in a branch that currently has an ABM, tell us what this will mean for you and your colleagues. Send your message to fsuinfo@fsunion.org.au
No individuals or branches will be identified to the Bank unless approved by you and your colleagues.
Our union can offer advice and support around matters including redeployment and workload issues. If you are not an FSU member yet you can join with your colleagues here.
