Following on from FSU members winning a review of personal/carer’s leave balances for full time Westpac unpackaged employees with an RDO arrangement, or an employee working compressed hours, Westpac have now completed the review.
Westpac have conducted a review of leave balances of impacted staff for the period 1 January 2016 until 31 March 2018. This review will ensure staff can access their full entitlement of 12 days per year as outlined in the enterprise agreement.
If your personal/carer’s leave is to be adjusted you will receive an email from Westpac outlining the amount your leave balance will increase by for this period. Alternatively, if Westpac found that your personal/carer’s leave balance is correct you will receive an email from Westpac confirming this.
Westpac have agreed to continue to review and adjust leave balances on a quarterly basis whilst working on a more permanent system solution.
If you know of any other colleagues who may be impacted, that haven’t received an email from Westpac forward this update to them and suggest they also contact Westpac directly to let them know that they believe they are an affected employee.
