This is in response to Westpac’s recent pay offer of 4%, 3.5% and 3% for tier one staff over three years, and just 3%, 2.5% and 2.5% for tier two staff. No guaranteed pay increase has been offered to staff above tier two.
This week, we met with Westpac management and provided anonymous feedback from members who have signed the letter so far. This included powerful testimonials from hundreds of us across the bank describing why Westpac must recognise cost of living pressures and our hard work over these last few difficult years.
Management have agreed to consider this feedback and will provide a response shortly.
We call on Westpac to do the right thing and return with an improved offer on pay that shows all of us that we are valued. We deserve a better pay increase that recognises the financial hardship that many of us are experiencing.
