It was great to see some of you at our Urgent Bargaining Update meeting a couple of weeks ago and get your feedback on how MyState’s proposals will affect you – and how we can fight back.
MyState wants you to compare your conditions with the bare minimum set out in the National Employment Standards. That’s not reasonable or fair. Together, we decided to compare MyState’s proposals to your current conditions, not the bare minimum.
This paints a clear picture of what you will lose if you MyState gets their way. (If you’re paid at the top of Band 4, you could lose up to $42 000 in redundancy payments.)
Our Next Bargaining Meeting
We need you to get the word out about this. Talk with your trusted colleagues – by phone, by email, in the lunchroom or however you connect best with your co-workers – and tell them why you’re worried about MyState’s proposals. Please share our improved comparison table and convince two colleagues to come along to our next Bargaining Update meeting next Thursday the 22nd of April at 7:30pm via Zoom.
You can register here – and remember, both union members and non-members are welcome.
