Who will be covered by our new Suncorp Bank Enterprise Agreement?

This week we held our first bargaining meeting with ANZ/Suncorp management for a new Suncorp Bank Enterprise Agreement (EA).

So far we’ve discussed who will and won’t be covered by our new EA. Management has proposed excluding colleagues in pay bands 7 and 8 and placing them on individual contracts.

The FSU has raised concerns with this proposal, given it would:

  • Remove the security and certainty that an EA provides for these colleagues
  • Create an inconsistent two-tier system between Suncorp Bank colleagues
  • Reduce our collective capacity to negotiate.

If you are classified at pay band 7 or 8, please reply to this email so we can discuss how we can work together to ensure you are not left behind.

Discussions on this issue will continue in early December.

Let’s secure the best deal!

If you haven’t done so already, now is the time to tell us what’s important to you in our new EA. Whether it’s pay, leave, flexibility, workloads or something else, tell us via our short survey.

Together we all have a role to play to win the wages and conditions we deserve. Here’s how you can make a difference now:

  • Forward this email to a colleague and encourage them to have their say.
  • Join the FSU – If you’re not already a member, be part of the team that’s fighting for a fair deal at Suncorp Bank. The more employees who join the FSU, the stronger our voice will be.
  • If you are a member and want to get more involved by becoming a Workplace Representative, reply to this email and our team will be in touch.

If you have any questions about our EA, please reply to this email.

We’ve seen it time and time again: those workplaces where staff are engaged, active, and members of our union are the ones that achieve the best results. Let’s make it happen at Suncorp Bank!
