Work Health and Safety in the Context of the Coronavirus

Last week the FSU wrote to the RBA to ensure that appropriate measures were in place to mitigate against potential work health and safety risks, and the broader potential impact on staff, that may arise from the spread of Coronavirus.

FSU requested that the RBA respond to a number of questions:

  1. What processes are in place to engage and support RBA employees who are impacted by quarantines due to infection or exposure to others?
  2. How will the RBA support staff impacted by school shutdowns?
  3. How will the RBA engage and support staff who are isolated at home due to public transport limitations and what arrangements will be made for staff who do not have the option or facilities to work from home or at another RBA site?
  4. What other measures are in place, or proposed, to mitigate risks to staff that are related to this matter?

The RBA have already stated that they are working to support staff through this period and confirmed they will provide a response to your Union’s letter shortly.

In the meantime, if you find that you are impacted in any way you should speak to your manager about leave options.
