These are difficult times. The number of COVID-19 outbreaks occurring across Melbourne is distressing. I’ve heard from members that the levels of fear and anxiety are rising for those of you on the frontline.
As workers on the frontline of this health crisis, it is time for you to be recognised. It is time for your employer to acknowledge your commitment and the risk you take to your health and safety.
We call on your employer to agree to a $5 per hour Essential Allowance for the duration of this pandemic.
