Your vote is important. Let CBA management know that we have something they don’t – strength in numbers. By voting Yes to everything and showing that we are all united, we will have a significant impact on the negotiation.
This process is a little different than those we’ve used to move CBA so far, and for our message to be heard, we have to reach a certain threshold of member participation. But we can do this, we’ve shown that already. We can share information and organise our workplaces and when the AEC count the ballots, if you and every other union member has posted their ballots back and voted yes to all the items, we will have sent CBA the loudest, clearest message yet: we’re united, and we won’t be defeated.
They’ll have no choice but to reconsider their position on pay and rdos. It would be very easy for them to do. We just need one last big push.
If you’ve got your ballot, but aren’t sure what the ballot or the questions on it mean, you can watch this video.
If you have not received your ballot yet, now would be a good time to check with the AEC to make sure that it’s gone to the right address. Remember that the ballot comes in an unmarked envelope like this one.
Contact the AEC
PABevents@aec.gov.au
or call either: (02) 9375 6366 or (03) 9285 7111 and quote the ballot order number: B2020/700
If you have not completed your ballot yet, now is the time! All ballots need to be back to the AEC by 22nd December. That means you really need to get them back in the post this week to make sure that you don’t miss the deadline.
If you don’t think you will get your ballot back in time, let us know and we will help you.
