Evidence submitted to FWC regarding MUFG Agreement
Our union has now submitted evidence to the Fair Work Commission (FWC) to…
Our MUFG RSS Enterprise Agreement has now been approved by the Fair Work Commission (FWC). Members can view a copy of the decision and full EA here.
As you know, our union raised concerns with the FWC during its review of the Agreement, including whether some conditions met the ‘Better Off Overall Test’ (BOOT).
The FWC found that clause 41 of the Agreement, which outlines workplace delegate rights, is less favourable than clause 27A of the Banking, Finance and Insurance Award. As a result, the Award provision will now apply as a term of our Agreement moving forward. It was important we undertook this process to ensure our entitlements in the EA are fair and that all the issues we raised were formally recorded.
It was important for us to pursue our concerns with the FWC and respect the Commission’s determination to approve the Agreement.
You are our best source of intelligence on what’s happening in the workplace. If MUFG isn’t living up to this Agreement, tell us – and we’ll hold them to account
Thanks to every member who engaged in this process. We secured a better agreement than the first one offered and demonstrated what is possible when workers stand together. If you’re not yet a member, join the team supporting MUFG RSS workers today.
