You may be aware that RAC’s insurance underwriting business will soon be acquired and managed by Insurance Australia Group (IAG).
If you are not part of RAC’s insurance underwriting business, then this won’t affect you. However, it’s important that all of our members across RAC are aware of this major announcement.
We don’t yet know when the acquisition will occur, however IAG has made a commitment to retaining all RAC Insurance staff in WA and to providing employment to RAC Insurance staff for a minimum of two years once the acquisition has been completed.
We know this acquisition will have a significant impact on employees at RAC’s insurance underwriting business.If you have any questions or concerns about what this might mean for you, please tell us via our quick feedback form.
Our union will also be seeking commitments from IAG to provide certainty around RAC employee conditions and further guarantees that jobs will remain secure into the future.
