Finance industry employers claim they are meeting their positive duty obligations in preventing sexual harassment, and that they’ve seen a decrease in reporting unlawful conduct.
But is this spin or is it reality? What have employers actually done to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace?
Join me for the launch of our new report at our special 2026 International Women’s Day event, where we’ll unpack what’s really going on and if our employers are actually doing the right thing.
When: Thursday 5 March 2026, 12pm – 1pm (AEDT)
Where: Online via Zoom

I’ll be joined by special guests Dr Emma F. Jackson (who will discuss key research on technology-facilitated sexual harassment) and Dr Jamilla Rosdahl (who will unpack a new report about the barriers to bystander action). Find out more below.
We’ll be engaging in an in-depth panel discussion on these topics and more – expect a lively debate!
Please register to attend, and I hope to see you there!
Warm regards,

Special guests
Dr Emma “Jacko” F. Jackson
Dr Jackson is a workplace and gender norms expert specialising in workplace cyber-abuse, sexual harassment of LGBTQ+ workers, and transgender experiences. Their research explores how rigid gender assumptions shape the way workplaces respond to gendered violence. They’ll discuss technology-facilitated sexual harassment: what it is and how we mitigate the risks.
Dr Jamilla Rosdahl
Dr Rosdahl is a sociologist and gender equity research officer at Unions NSW, with experience across universities and government. She’ll draw on the recent report Ready, Willing, Unable – The Hidden Barriers to Ethical Bystander Action in the Workplace to explore what stops bystanders from taking action and how we make it safer for people to step up.
