Late last week, RACQ announced it will sell off the banking arm of its business to Bendigo Bank.
Concerningly, Bendigo Bank does not intend to employ RACQ employees, meaning most RACQ Bank workers will face redundancies in the second half of 2026.
We understand this announcement is incredibly distressing for those who will be affected. Announcing this right before Christmas only makes a difficult situation even worse. We wanted to let you know that our union is here to support you throughout this process.
We are holding an urgent online meeting for all RACQ employees tomorrow (Tuesday) to discuss your rights and next steps. All employees are welcome to attend, even if you are not directly affected by this announcement.
Tuesday 9 December, 6.30pm (Qld)
Remember, you have rights and entitlements when things change at work, and our union will ensure your voice is heard during this process.
