Negotiations for our new CareSuper Enterprise Agreement (EA) continue to progress.
At our recent fourth meeting, we discussed the workplace change section of our current EA, as well as the consultative committee and union rights.
Promisingly, CareSuper has proposed that if they were to introduce artificial intelligence (AI), the workplace change clause would trigger a consultation process with employees.
This is something our union has been calling for across the finance sector, given the significant role AI plays now and into the future. Proper consultation around AI is a right that we have successfully negotiated in other EAs, and we need to lock this into our new EA.
Future negotiation meetings will focus on pay, leave entitlements, overtime, hours of work, and superannuation.
