MUFG RSS Agreement voted up. Enforcement will be key

The MUFG RSS proposed Enterprise Agreement has been voted up by a majority of employees, with 74% voting yes.

We know this isn’t the result many of you hoped for – the Agreement contains some serious flaws, but we also understand the time it has taken to reach this point.

Importantly, we did convince management to agree to backpay (which you will receive in the 10 December pay cycle), and the new Agreement also includes an improved breaks clause.

What happens now?

MUFG will now prepare an application for the proposed Agreement to be approved by the Fair Work Commission. Our union will prepare a submission to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.

We will continue to work hard to ensure MUFG employees are recognised for the critical role we play. Specifically, enforcement of our new Agreement will be key. Strong union membership is the most effective way to leverage the outcomes we want at MUFG.
