No Place for Antisemitism and Racism in NSW

On behalf of finance workers across Australia, the FSU stands with NSW Unions and our broader union movement in condemning antisemitism, racism and bigotry in all its forms, and we support the below statement from our comrades in NSW.

Statement from Unions NSW:

Unions NSW and the NSW Union Movement condemns antisemitism. We condemn racism and bigotry in all its forms.

New South Wales is Australia’s largest and most multicultural state – a place where people of all walks of life aspire to a better life together. There is no place anywhere in our society or workplaces for the sorts of bigotry and hatred that we have witnessed in recent weeks and months.

The unity of labour is the hope of the world, it is what we hold in common that unites us.

The rise in antisemitic and Islamophobic attacks within our communities is abhorrent. The union movement has a proud history of opposing racism and racist-inspired violence of all kinds and we commit to continuing this fight.

The NSW Union Movement wishes to express its solidarity with the Jewish community of New South Wales and Australia and offer its support.
