Urgent meeting TONIGHT re MUFG ballot results, misinformation

The results are in, and a majority of us voted NO to MUFG Retirement Solutions’ substandard offer for a new Enterprise Agreement!

Congratulations – this is the first important step to securing the agreement we all deserve.

This was a terrible agreement that failed to include a competitive pay rise and contained little improvements to our working conditions.

MUFG’s misinformation

We understand management has sent misleading information to staff about how Award conditions will now apply, as well as a survey containing inaccurate information.

Please come to our urgent FSU meeting tonight to get the facts.

Monday 8 September, 6.30pm (AEST)

If you can’t make our meeting, you can still provide your feedback about why you rejected MUFG’s offer. Your feedback will help us make sure management understands your major concerns as we continue negotiations.

What’s next?

We’ve now written to MUFG calling on them to urgently recommence negotiations and fulfil their legal obligation to bargain in good faith. They must demonstrate that they have listened to us by improving their offer. If MUFG does not prioritise further negotiations, our union will escalate the matter to the Fair Work Commission if necessary.

Voting ‘no’ is a big win, but we’ve still got a ways to go – and we can only shift management’s position if we all work together.

Join us for tonight’s important meeting to hear the facts.
