We’re taking MUFG RSS to the Fair Work Commission

Last night, our union made an application to the Fair Work Commission to help resolve the outstanding issues with our proposed new MUFG RSS Enterprise Agreement.

We have been bargaining since 2023, and the proposal from MUFG remains one of the worst in the sector. MUFG has had well over 18 months to step up and provide an acceptable offer, but has consistently refused.

MUFG’s current proposal would see us earning less and with worse working conditions than our colleagues across the finance sector – including at the super funds we service.

This has been a long bargaining process, and seeking support from the Commission is not a step we take lightly. It is, however, the best way to achieve a fair pay rise as soon as possible.

We cannot allow an Agreement to get through that would land us with some of the worst pay and conditions in our sector. MUFG should be investing in their biggest asset to strengthen the company: their people.

This offer from MUFG is a slap in the face. Remember, MUFG can end this dispute today by offering fair pay and reasonable conditions, like our right to work from home.
