That’s a wrap for 2025 at Festival Tower!

It’s been a busy year for everyone at Westpac Festival Tower. As your union Reps, we wanted to provide this short update on what has been achieved at work this year thanks to the collective efforts and determination from all of us at Festival Tower.

Throughout 2025, we’ve worked with our fellow colleagues and the FSU to campaign for better job security – and while there have been some tough decisions made by management, our union has landed some wins along the way, including around flexible work arrangements and additional payments on redundancies.

We’ve advocated for members’ rights around directions to take annual leave, and we’re currently investigating pay disparity between team members who are doing the same job for different pay.

Health and safety has also been a major focus this year. We secured the provision of wrist supports and proper ergonomic assessments when you request them. When we moved into the new building, we assisted in addressing concerns around prompt training for wardens.

And we’ve launched a health and safety reporting survey – a way for employees to report our WHS concerns directly to our union. We encourage you to complete this survey whenever you have a WHS concern.

Remember, our union is strongest and has more influence when we all work together. If you want to get more involved in our union and help make our workplace better, we’re always up for a chat.

From all of us Reps and the whole FSU team, we hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday season. See you in the new year!
