Time is running out to tell our union what pay rises and improved working conditions you would like negotiated in our next Bank of Queensland Enterprise Agreement (EA).
Tell us what wages and conditions you want
Our upcoming negotiations come while our disputes against BOQ in the Fair Work Commission continue.
Our disputes are regarding the proposed 200 job cuts as part of the CapGemini arrangement – specifically, whether these redundancies are genuine, given the work undertaken by these employees must still be done, and whether BOQ failed to adequately consult, given the redundancies have been planned for some time.
Conciliation conferences resulted in our union and BOQ agreeing to meet regularly about the impact of these cuts, enabling us to hold management to account. We continue to push BOQ to be transparent with workers via early consultation on any future plans regarding their CapGemini arrangement.
Last week, BOQ informed us about further changes and job cuts resulting from this arrangement, including 32 roles in Technology and changes to job titles and reporting lines. If you are impacted and require union support, please reply to this email and let us know.
Our chance to strengthen job security
The scale and frequency of these changes demonstrate the importance of employees strengthening our rights at work when it comes to job security – and that’s why it’s crucial we address this in our new Enterprise Agreement.
Our critical survey will only take a few minutes, and the information you provide is crucial to shaping our priorities for upcoming negotiations with BOQ management, including around job security.
If you’ve already completed the survey, please forward this email to your colleagues and ask them to have their say.
