Insignia tables revised position – Join an FSU session

This week, your FSU bargaining team met with Insignia management to continue negotiations for a new Enterprise Agreement (EA). Management provided what they say is their ‘best and final’ position on redundancy pay, remuneration and working from home (hybrid working).

Severance pay
Increase the proposed cap to 52 weeks, up from 36 weeks. Management has maintained their position that heritage conditions will be grandfathered for a period of 12 months only.

Remuneration
Include a $1200 (gross) cost of living allowance payable to all Insignia colleagues following the approval of the EA by the Fair Work Commission. A cost of living allowance was removed from Insignia’s prior position.

Working from home (hybrid working)
Introduce a clause into the EA that provides:

  • A decentralised exemptions process whereby People Leaders will have approval discretion.
  • A review and escalation pathway.
  • A six-month notice period ahead of any change to office attendance requirements.

Management maintains their position that minimum office attendance is equal to 40% of time except for where there is an exemption, and that this requirement be maintained in policy.

These revised positions represent some further improvements on management’s position and we want to hear from you.

Do you believe this is good enough?

Register for an FSU online session below so you can have your say and we can best represent your views at our next meeting with Insignia management.

Wednesday 14 August, 8am (AEST)

Wednesday 14 August, 12pm (AEST)

Wednesday 14 August, 6pm (AEST)

These sessions are open to all Insignia colleagues, so please invite your team to attend by forwarding them this email. If you can’t attend any of the sessions, please reply to this email and we will try to set up an alternate day and/or time.

‘Best and final offer’ – Does this mean the end of negotiations?

No. A ‘best and final offer’ does not mean the end of negotiations. The FSU and Insignia will continue to engage in good faith bargaining on these issues and the remainder of the terms to be included in our EA.

A ‘best and final offer’ simply means this is the most that management feels they are willing to offer.

However, it’s still up to us to decide if we accept it or not. That’s why your feedback is critical at this important stage of our bargaining process, so be sure to attend one of our upcoming sessions.

By working together, we have and can continue to secure improvements and an Agreement that delivers for all Insignia colleagues.
