Urgent Reps meeting – CBA wants to take a knife to our Bankwest Agreement

This week, CBA revealed their bargaining agenda which proposes to take a knife to our Bankwest Enterprise Agreement (EA).

They have proposed extensive changes to our EA that cuts hard fought for working conditions, while totally ignoring our Log of Claims.

We’re holding an urgent meeting for all Bankwest FSU Reps and workplace activists on Wednesday 19 June, 6pm (AWST).

It is critical you attend to understand what is at stake and how we can successfully campaign to protect our Bankwest culture and identity, protect our work conditions and secure fair pay increases. We don’t want Bankwest to become CBA Lite.

What changes are CBA proposing?

  • No guarantee on Bankwest jobs.
  • No change to their in-office mandate requirements.
  • Pay increases that fail to address the high inflation of recent years.
  • Smaller pay increases when you earn more.
  • Further cuts to entitlements when you earn more.
  • Cutting annual leave loading for new starters.
  • Removing allowances.
  • Removing the cap on the number of casuals they can employ.
  • Removing their consultation obligations when setting performance objectives.
  • And much more…

If you have questions before the meeting, email us here and one of our team will be in touch.
