Bankwest branch closures – consultation process commences

We understand some further detail has finally been shared by Bankwest following their recent shock announcement that its entire branch and ATM network will close.

It is unacceptable that staff have been left in the lurch for the past two weeks without any information, and we told Bankwest just that when we met with them.

We know you’ve had to continue supporting customers who have many questions while not knowing details about the closures yourself or about your ongoing employment at Bankwest. Rest assured, we hear you.

Now that some further details have been shared, we want to know if there’s any other information you feel you need. If you haven’t already, please share your feedback, questions and concerns with us so that these can be raised anonymously as part of the consultation process.

We understand the Bank is asking affected colleagues to complete an optional ‘general areas of interest’ form.

Our advice is to consider all of your options before taking any action and not to feel pressured into completing the form or making any decisions until you have all the information you need.
