TAL redundancy announcement – urgent union meeting

This week TAL announced a proposal for major change across 4 business units. The proposal would see 37 positions at TAL become redundant over the next few weeks.

FSU members at TAL have raised concerns over this announcement and asked what this will mean for us.

Management have initiated a consultation period so our union is now holding an urgent Zoom meeting with TAL employees.

When: Monday 19 February, 6:30pm (AEDT)

Where: via Zoom

Points to be discussed will include:

  • What feedback, questions and concerns do we have around this proposal?
  • What are TAL’s obligations to consult and support impacted staff?
  • What steps can we take to ensure we are best positioned for this change?
