FSU event: In conversation on the Human Rights Act

What would a Human Rights Act actually change? Join Nicole McPherson (FSU National Assistant Secretary) and Daney Faddoul (Human Rights Law Centre) in conversation about the Human Rights Act.

We’ll be delving into issues that matter to finance workers including artificial intelligence and our digital rights, as well as broader issues affecting workers like freedom of association, and the right to health, education and housing.

Meet our speakers

Daney Faddoul
Human Rights Law Centre, Campaign Manager

Daney leads the campaign for an Australian Human Rights Act at the Human Rights Law Centre. He brings a wealth of campaigning experience from his time at GetUp, where he led work on economic justice, and from the union movement, including at the FSU, where he negotiated enterprise agreements as an Industrial Officer.

FSU National Assistant Secretary

Nicole is founder of the FSU‘s Human Rights Network. A former lawyer, she leads the FSU's Organising and Industrial teams and is at the forefront of the union's work on AI in the finance sector.
