Progress on IAG’s MyTime – what has IAG said?

Our FSU workplace leaders at IAG recently met with management representatives to present your feedback from our MyTime survey.

Our survey demonstrated widespread concerns with the MyTime system, including around inaccuracies of recorded hours and the potential loss of entitlements.

IAG has now responded to our concerns. Here’s where we’re up to with our discussions:

  • Overtime payments: MyTime only pays overtime when certain criteria are met. This can mean delays compared to the old system. The FSU is pushing for overtime that is worked early in a pay cycle to be paid in the next pay period.

  • Overpayment letters: The FSU has asked IAG to include exact dates/periods in all letters. Currently, sample letters include the reason and repayment options, but members report missing or unclear details. IAG will consider our proposal to include more details regarding overpayments, including dates and periods they occurred.

  • Weekend overtime and loadings: FSU members raised concerns around how overtime and loadings are being applied on weekends. IAG says weekend loadings apply to “ordinary hours” and overtime is paid if the overtime criteria (outside of ordinary hours) are met. No system issues reported by IAG. We will continue monitor these arrangements.

  • Leave integration: FSU members raised questions around timeframes of leave approvals using MyTime. IAG says leave approved before Sunday 6pm is processed into payroll, with a Monday manual check to avoid overpayments. We’ll continue to engage with members around the suitability of this timeframe.

  • Half pay leave fix: Following FSU raising concerns, IAG discovered that hours were being under-recorded for half-pay long service and parental leave. IAG has committed to correcting any underpayments.

  • Flextime and TOIL: Automatic cash-out is compliant with our Enterprise Agreement, meaning employees can request cash-out any time. IAG is reviewing accrual/usage data, along with member concerns about limited access to taking leave. Discussions are ongoing.
