Following our rejection of MyState’s dud offer last week, MyState has disappointingly (but not surprisingly) responded with a delay tactic and silence.
It seems our ‘no’ vote has left management feeling bruised.
When will negotiations resume?
We would have liked them to resume this week.
As soon as we heard the ballot result, we wrote to MyState to urgently resume negotiations for our new Enterprise Agreement. We proposed the same weekday and time as previous meetings, as well as offered any day this week.
MyState has responded by suggesting our meetings be delayed until August.
How many of us voted ‘no’?
We still don’t know because MyState has also failed to respond to our request for this information.
Both these responses from management show a complete lack of respect for MyState employees, who rightfully expect our employer to return to the table without delay and negotiate in good faith.
