Are you impacted by Westpac’s proposed staff cuts in Tech and Business Wealth?

You may be aware that Westpac has announced workplace changes that will affect 106 (FTE) positions within their Technology and Business & Wealth divisions.

These proposed changes will impact roles located across Barangaroo, Kent Street, Kogarah, and George Street in Perth.

We understand this is difficult news for affected employees, and these changes could have a significant impact on your life and livelihood.

Westpac employees have faced ongoing uncertainty and significant job losses over the past six years. Now, they are implementing another round of job cuts under a new “business-led simplification program” called UNITE. We’re calling on Westpac to invest in its existing dedicated workforce and not continue with these mass job cuts. We’ll keep you updated on further actions on this issue.

If you are affected or have concerns about these proposed changes, the FSU is here to provide representation and support. Our union will ensure you receive the entitlements owed to you and that your voice is heard during this process.

If you have any questions or feedback about these changes you would like us to put to Westpac, please email us at [email protected].
