Have you been forced to increase office attendance at NAB?

Over the past week, we’ve heard from FSU members that senior managers have proceeded to increase office attendance requirements despite the fact that NAB’s actual policy (two days in the officer per week for most colleagues) has not been changed.

This significantly reduces the flexibility that many of us have valued and benefited from and undermines the balance that has allowed us to be productive while managing our personal commitments.

We need to know if this is happening in your area.

We have written to NAB outlining our concerns about this inconsistency and calling on the bank to uphold its existing policy of two days per week in the office for most colleagues. We have yet to receive a response but will continue putting the pressure on NAB to address this and will continue to advocate on behalf of members.

Working from home matters

Flexible working arrangements have delivered significant benefits to employees and NAB, including:

  • Increased work-life balance, reducing stress and improving overall wellbeing.

  • Greater efficiency and productivity, allowing employees to structure their work more effectively.

  • Reduced commuting time and costs, improving financial and personal sustainability.

  • Improved inclusivity, allowing employees with caring responsibilities or other needs to continue contributing meaningfully at NAB.
