At last week’s Enterprise Agreement (EA) negotiations, IAG management have so far refused to recognise working from home in our EA. This is totally unacceptable.
Working from home has become a normal part of our working lives at IAG – many of us have raised this as a critical issue in our union survey and at union meetings. Thousands of our colleagues in the finance industry already have these arrangements recognised in their EAs! So why not here at IAG?
Tell IAG why working from home is so important to you and share your feedback, thoughts and concerns:

The way we will move IAG is if we all share why working from home is important to us. Our collective voices will make all the difference.
What other issues have been raised in recent negotiations?
IAG management has not agreed to a number of claim positions put forward by members. Among others:
- IAG said NO to maintaining existing retrenchment and redundancy entitlements.
- IAG said NO to five days cultural leave.
- IAG said NO to 26 weeks paid parental leave.
- IAG said NO to unlimited leave for domestic and family violence.
These are IAG’s initial response. Based on ongoing feedback from FSU members, we will continue to discuss these matters in upcoming meetings.
You can see a more comprehensive summary of the issues under discussion here.
What next?
It’s now time for IAG – one of the biggest insurance companies in the country – to step up and match what its competitors offer their staff around these issues.
Pay discussions will start at the next EA negotiation meeting on 30 May. Your involvement will be critical in determining a successful outcome on pay.
We will be holding FSU report back meetings after 30 April so look out for dates and times, make sure you register, and talk to your colleagues about attending as well.
