Since our last update on bargaining for our new HBF Enterprise Agreement (EA), we met with HBF again to provide your feedback on their proposed pay offer.
HBF considered our concerns and proposed the following amended pay increases:
- 3.8% effective 1 July 2024
- 3% or CPI (whichever is the greater) to a maximum of 3.5% on 1 July 2025
- 2.5% or CPI (whichever is the greater) to a maximum of 3% on 1 July 2026.
The maximum salaries for proposed new grades 8 and 9 were also changed:
- Grade 8 from $95,000 to $97,000
- Grade 9 from $80,600 to $85,000
- Grade 10 and 11 maximum salaries haven’t changed at $125,000 and $135,746.
Allowances such as first aid, overtime, meal and on call will also be increased in line with salary increases each year instead of by 2.5% as proposed initially by HBF.
However, the lump sum payment for anyone earning more than 10% above the maximum for their grade remains unchanged.
