Congratulations to everyone at MUFG Market Services – 56% of us said NO to the worst agreement in the sector!
As we’ve said since management presented their offer, this is a terrible agreement that falls short of many improvements we are seeking, including a competitive pay rise.
Voting NO means we force MUFG Market Services back to the bargaining table and we have another opportunity to fight for the fair pay and conditions that we deserve. Our dispute with MUFG is also still with the Fair Work Commission.
MUFG management has already this afternoon proposed dates for us to recommence bargaining in the coming weeks – that’s how powerful our vote is.
Forcing MUFG back to the table is a big win, but we’ve still got a battle ahead of us. Now we need to be prepared to stand together and take collective action. This is the only thing that will shift management’s position on the issues we care about.
