MyState Group has announced a significant $41.3 million in profit, a 17% increase from last year. This profit is only possible because of the ongoing effort and dedication of its workforce.
It’s time for MyState to show that they value our contribution – and they can do just that next Thursday when we resume negotiations for our new Enterprise Agreement.
This is a meeting that we’ve fought hard to secure since the ballot concluded in July. We have been relentless in securing further meetings with MyState management to progress negotiations, including taking MyState to the Fair Work Commission.
At any stage following the ballot, management could have met with our bargaining representatives and the FSU to understand why we posted such a strong NO vote on their proposal and what it would take to achieve an Enterprise Agreement that can be supported.
Having respect for workers and listening to their representatives does not require board approval.
What’s next?
We will keep you updated after our next negotiation meeting. In the meantime, please talk to your colleagues about joining the FSU.
Given MyState’s unhurried approach to negotiations since the ballot, we need to be in the strongest possible position to demonstrate to management that any further delay tactics won’t be tolerated.
Now let’s win the best possible pay and conditions, because we deserve it!
