Same job, different pay at Community First Bank – sign the petition

Since Community First and Illawarra Credit Union merged, workers doing comparable roles have continued to be paid different rates. Now, we’re calling on CEO Anthony Perkiss to fix the pay gap and deliver a fair pay offer for all workers.

What’s the issue?

Negotiations for our new Community First Bank Enterprise Agreement have been underway since July, led by our Bargaining Reps (see below) with the support of FSU officials.

A key issue in negotiations is equal pay for the same roles across the former Community First Credit Union and former Illawarra Credit Union (ICU) - and getting equal pay backdated to September 2025 when the merger occurred.

Right now, the minimum salary rate for a Contact Centre Banking Specialist at CFB is 13% lower than at ICU. For a Store Banking Specialist, the minimum rate at CFB is 16% lower.

So far, CFB representatives have refused to address this pay gap.

Same job, different pay. This is not something former ICU employees chose - it’s a decision CFB leadership made, which is why we’re taking it straight to CEO Anthony Perkiss.

Sign our petition calling on Anthony Perkiss to close the gap and put forward a fair pay offer. The more of us who sign, CFB and ICU employees together, the stronger our message that we’re serious about securing a better deal we can all support.
