Union win – our new HESTA EA is approved

Fantastic news! Our new HESTA Enterprise Agreement (EA) has been approved by the Fair Work Commission and is now in effect.

Here’s what we’ve won:

  • Pay increases of 5%, 4% and 3.5% paid in October for each year of the Agreement.
  • 5 days of industry-leading reproductive health care leave per year, including for menstruation, perimenopause, menopause, fertility support and reproductive system conditions.
  • Unlimited domestic violence leave.
  • 5 days of cultural and ceremonial leave for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees.
  • An uplift in parental leave, including: 
    • service eligibility reduced from 12 months to 6 months.
    • 14 weeks of paid parental leave increased to 20 weeks for those with 6 months or more service.
    • 8 weeks of paid parental leave for those with less than 6 months of service.
    • Access to full paid parental leave for any pregnancy loss after 20 weeks gestation.
  • Fair hours of work and overtime.
  • Genuine flexibility.
  • Fleet vehicles and allowances that we can rely on.

Your FSU workplace representatives did an amazing job during negotiations, and your honest and progressive feedback throughout the negotiations shaped our new EA. It shows the power of working together.
