Urgent union meeting to discuss NAB redundancies

NAB has announced two significant restructures across the Risk Division, including the Controls COE, Resilience Risk and Compliance Teams, the Business and Private Lending Solutions Team, and Personal Banking – Proprietary Lending.

Concerningly, these proposed changes will result in 259 roles being made redundant and hundreds of employees being repointed.

The FSU is holding an urgent consultation meeting on Monday 14 October, 2pm (AEDT) for anyone impacted by these changes.

Our rights, NAB’s obligations

Under our NAB Enterprise Agreement, we have rights during the consultation periods when it comes to significant changes, such as the ones NAB is currently proposing.

Importantly, NAB is required to:

  • Consult with us about the introduction of these proposed changes.
  • Talk with us about the effects the changes are likely to have.
  • Consider our feedback and any proposed alterations we have.
  • Implement measures to avert or mitigate the adverse effects of these changes.

Consultation closes on Wednesday 16 October, so we need to act quickly to ensure our questions and concerns are heard.

Please forward this email to your colleagues and ask them to register for Monday’s important meeting.
