We put your questions to NAB’s CEO

“As union members, we’re about engaging in a dialogue with the people who own and run this company.”

NAB may have held its AGM one week before Christmas, but that didn’t stop us from putting some tough questions to CEO Andrew Irvine.

FSU Workplace Representative Jimmy Whitfield attended yesterday’s AGM and put our concerns to the board about NAB offshoring Australian jobs and the bank’s significant gender pay gap.

“We don’t want to be left outside, we want to have a say in what we do every day when we come to work,” said Jimmy.

“The AGM is an opportunity to put those questions directly to the board and to the CEO.”

It’s thanks to FSU members like Jimmy that management hear our concerns directly and are held accountable in such a public forum.

We know that management responds most to pressure from their employees – and more importantly, employees who have the strong backing of our union.

There are so many ways you can get involved in our union and help keep employers accountable, including becoming a Workplace Representative like Jimmy.

If you’d like to know more or just want to chat with someone from our union about how you can make a difference, contact the FSU today.
