We won! Suncorp Insurance members vote for better pay and conditions

It’s a win! Suncorp Insurance staff have voted up our new Enterprise Agreement (EA), with an overwhelming 93% voting ‘yes’.

Congratulations to every FSU member for achieving this fantastic result – it was only possible because we stood together and convinced management to step up and negotiate with us for the first time in over 10 years.

Put simply, FSU members made all the difference in this round of negotiations.

The aim of every EA is to build on the last, and while there will always be room for improvement, we’ve won some great improvements to our pay and conditions, including one of the best pay increases from any employer in our sector this year.

Our new agreement includes:

  • Guaranteed 10.25% pay increase over the three-year EA for bands 1-4 and FS 1-4, and 9.25% increase to merit pool for FS 5 and 6.
  • No loss to any existing entitlements.
  • 12 days of personal leave after two years of service.
  • Update of flexible ways of working clause.
  • Flexible leave arrangements increased to five days.
  • Inclusion of existing policy arrangements, including paid parental leave, domestic violence leave, and references to other types of leave.
  • And more…

What happens now?

The EA will now be submitted to the Fair Work Commission for final approval. Once approved, our new wages and conditions will apply.

This victory shows what we can achieve when we work together and ensure our voices are heard!

To continue securing positive outcomes in the future, we must keep our union strong and active across Suncorp Insurance – so if you’re not yet an FSU member, now is the time to join!

If you’re already a member, encourage a colleague to join the team that’s winning for you today.
