At our recent FSU member meetings, it was agreed that our union will lodge a formal dispute against MyState in the Fair Work Commission (FWC) – which we have just done.
MyState is still refusing to disclose the ballot results and participation rate from our ‘no’ vote victory, which happened nearly two weeks ago. They also continue to delay negotiations until sometime in August.
Both positions are unacceptable, and MyState employees deserve better.
Voting ‘no’ to MyState’s dud offer should have sent a clear message to management to do better. Unfortunately, they clearly can’t be relied on to do the right thing, so hopefully our dispute will drive them to more positive action.
We’ll keep you updated as the situation progresses.
In the meantime, if you’re not yet a member of the team fighting for fair pay and conditions at MyState, join today to ensure you’re protected.
