We’ve shifted BOQ on pay and flexibility!

We’ve got some exciting news – after further negotiations with BOQ management regarding our new Enterprise Agreement, BOQ has finally improved their position on pay increases and workplace flexibility.

As a result, we have reached an in-principle agreement, which our FSU Representatives have endorsed to be put to a ballot of all BOQ employees.

The updated offer includes an improved pay offer, the right to request your pay be reviewed, additional special leave and new workplace flexibility provisions to protect the current 50% working from home position.

This shift in BOQ’s position has only been made possible due to the collective efforts of FSU members and everyone who committed to vote no to management’s previously unacceptable offer.

The improvements are in addition to other items previously agreed, including:

  • An increase to minimum rates of pay
  • Improvements to the workplace change and redundancy process
  • An increase to special paid leave from three to five days
  • An additional two days’ sick leave per year
  • An increase to compassionate leave
  • Removal of mandatory two-week block of annual leave per year and reduction in shutdown days
  • An expansion of higher duties
  • Increases to allowances
  • Simplifying overtime.
