As you know, IAG introduced a new hours-recording system in 2024 called MyTime.
While our union welcomed this new system in the hope it would ensure employees were paid correctly, some members have reported serious concerns regarding how the system is working, and how they are directed to record hours worked.
So that these concerns can be addressed with IAG, please provide your feedback on MyTime and tell us how it is used in your workplace. Our online questionnaire is confidential and will only take a few minutes.
Our union and government regulators identified numerous employers within the insurance sector were underpaying employees in recent years.
This included IAG, which was required to repay over $22 million in underpayments to affected employees.
Partly because of these underpayments, some employers introduced recording systems like MyTime. We welcomed this system in the hope that it would strengthen employers’ ability to avoid payment errors from occurring in the future.
However, these systems must be accurate and easy to use for employees, with information recorded independently and without the influence of management.
