We’re concerned that these changes may restrict workers’ access to compensation in the event of a psychological injury. This could have a significant impact on many of us, particularly in the finance sector where psychological injury is, unfortunately, prevalent.
The FSU and unions across NSW will be consulting with the state government to better understand these changes and how they may impact workers.
We want to hear your views – what are the issues that cause psychological injury in your workplace?
This could be anything from increased workloads and unreasonable overtime, to poor workplace support from supervisors, managers or co-workers, or harassment and bullying at work.
With so many pressures in the workplace and beyond, mental health has never been more important. We’ll be working closely with other unions to ensure NSW has a leading workers compensation system that genuinely keeps us safe.
NSW Government MPs promised to reform the workers compensation system when they got into government. Unfortunately, it looks like they’re doing the exact opposite by supporting cuts and turning their backs on injured workers.
