It was great to see many FSU members at our recent Bendigo Bank FSU meeting, where we discussed the bank’s proposal to increase in-office attendance to 60% by July 2025.
Your overwhelming feedback was heard loud and clear: management’s proposal is unpopular and unnecessary, and should not go ahead.
We have nowprovided your feedback to management, including the results of our online survey, and made it clear that their proposal would put financial strain on workers, unnecessarily disrupt family and home life, and negatively impact work/life balance and productivity.
If you haven’t had a chance to complete the quick online survey, you can still add your voice to our collective feedback here. Please also forward the survey to your colleagues and ask them to complete it.
If management’s response is not satisfactory, we will discuss next steps, including what we are willing to do as FSU members to get a better outcome.
Your right to flexible work
At our recent meeting, we also discussed your right to request a flexible work arrangement. This may be an option for eligible employees should you need to protect your ability to work from home or secure other changes such as working hours, days or shifts.
We encourage members toread our fact sheet and familiarise yourself with the process and eligibility.
If you need assistance with requesting a flexible work arrangement, contact our FSU Members Rights Centre on 1300 366 378 or email[email protected].
Our best chance of success
Remember, it is much harder for Bendigo Bank management to dismiss our concerns when employees work together and speak with one collective voice. If you know a colleague who is not yet a member of the team that’s fighting for a fair outcome for Bendigo Bank employees, ask them to join the FSU today.
