Our FSU delegation recently met with senior ANZ management to discuss our concerns with their 50% return to office mandate. At the meeting, we tabled a 77-page letter to ANZ CEO Shayne Elliott with over 1300 comments from ANZ colleagues outlining the impact this mandate has had on colleagues’ health, families, finances and morale within the workplace.
Our letter to Shaye Elloitt made clear our expectations and what it will take to solve these problems, namely:
- Repeal the 50% return to office mandate.
- Establish a process for local, team-based flexibility arrangements.
- Guarantee office attendance will not affect performance ratings.
You can read our letter here.
Next steps
Management has agreed to consult with their internal stakeholders and consider our proposed solutions. We are reconvening in mid-March where we expect a response from ANZ.
In the meantime, we’re holding a report back session for ANZ colleagues to discuss the meeting and our next steps between now and mid-March. Register below:
FSU report back session – Wednesday 28 February, 12pm (AEDT)
Be sure to forward this email to your colleagues and invite them to attend as well.
If you can’t attend this session, please reply to this email and one of our team will be in touch.
