AMBL/TMBL merger – application to the Fair Work Commission today

Today, AMBL and TMBL management are lodging their application with the Fair Work Commission to move everyone from the AMBL Enterprise Agreement to the TMBL Enterprise Agreement.

Having everyone on a single enterprise agreement is part of management’s plan following the successful votes on the merger. This is a significant change for people at AMBL, and our priority is to make sure that your working conditions are maintained.

Management has asked for the FSU to support their Fair Work Commission application. We have told management clearly: we will not support their application if it leaves you worse off.

Management responds to some of our questions

We recently put your questions about this merger and how it impacts you to management. Management only responded to some of these questions. You can read their responses here.

In addition, management has said that the few commitments they have made are conditional on the FSU supporting their application to move everyone off the AMBL Enterprise Agreement.

Ignoring most of our questions simply isn’t good enough. Management has a responsibility to address all our concerns, and we have insisted that they provide a full response as soon as possible.

What happens next?

AMBL and TMBL have not answered our questions and have not made the commitments needed to ensure that no one is worse off in moving to the TMBL Enterprise Agreement.

Unless that changes, the FSU will oppose management’s application. This is the only way to protect the entitlements that matter to you.

We need to hear from you!

Your voice is essential – we need to hear from you about how moving to the TMBL Agreement will impact you. You can also let us know if you'd like to be notified about upcoming FSU meetings to ensure you don't miss out on important information.

Note: meeting dates and times will be confirmed once we receive a full response from management.

If you’re not yet a member of our union, now is the time to join to ensure you receive the support and protection you need during this crucial period.
