At the end of last year, FSU members stepped up en masse and said that BUPA management’s proposal on our new Enterprise Agreement (EA) was just not good enough.
Pay and flexible working arrangements were the standout issues raised at FSU meetings, workplace report backs and other online FSU forums.
Having considered this overwhelming feedback from members, management returned to the negotiation table last Friday with an improved proposal. It is now time for us to consider this latest offer.
Register for our important FSU zoom meeting on Wednesday 17 January, 7pm (AEDT) to consider management’s latest proposal and discuss next steps.

What are some of the improvements BUPA have proposed?
- Improved pay proposal for Zone 5 and IT2 employees. Management’s new offer now provides a 13% salary increase over 3 years to all employees below the minimum base salary for Zone 6. Under managements proposal, employees at or above this minimum Zone 6 level would receive 9.5% over the 3 years. The threshold for the Zone 6 minimum base salary in the first year would be $82,019.
- Formal recognition of working from home arrangements within the EA.
- Improvements announced previously are maintained in this latest proposal.
The latest improvements made are a direct result of the high level of member engagement in our campaign. Make sure we continue this momentum in 2024 by registering for our meeting above and inviting your colleagues to come along.
