Bupa’s WFH commitments – flexible work requests

Did you know that you have a right to request a flexible working arrangement (FWA) at Bupa, including working from home arrangements?

Recently, our union received written confirmation from Bupa that there will be no link between in-office attendance and performance for CVC employees. Bupa also committed that those employees who are sick or on leave for any scheduled office day are not required to make up that office day.

Our union strongly believes that these commitments should apply fairly to all Bupa employees.

Requesting your FWA

You have the right to apply for a FWA. While Bupa has an internal process for requesting this arrangement, we recommend that you submit your request using our FSU template.

Access FSU template

Simply copy and paste the template text into an email to your manager, and update the red text with your specific information.

Be sure to BCC your FSU Organiser Tom Clift into your email ([email protected]) so we can support you as needed.

Your manager must respond to your request in writing within 21 days. If they refuse your request, they must include legitimate reasons as to why your request was refused.

If you have any questions about FWAs, including your options if your request has been refused, contact the FSU at[email protected].

You can also access our FWA fact sheet here.

If you’re not yet a member of the FSU and need support with this process, join with your colleagues today.
