Bupa win sets industry standard

Thanks to the efforts of union members, we recently secured a new Enterprise Agreement (EA) at BUPA, winning improvements in key areas like pay, flexibility, and leave.

Importantly, this win sets a new industry standard as we begin negotiations with other workplaces in insurance.

We’ll be holding employers closely to these standards in our negotiations around pay and working conditions.

At IAG, we’ll be pushing for pay that keeps pace with the cost of living and provides certainty for all members. We believe there should be no reduction in redeployment, redundancy and retrenchment entitlements in the new EA. Find out more here

Similarly at Allianz, our members have told us pay and flexible working are critical issues for a new EA.

Our fantastic win at BUPA was only possible because FSU members stood together and made our voices heard. In order to secure similar outcomes for our pay and working conditions at other insurance workplaces, we’ll need to do the same.

Now is the time to get active in your workplace, so reach out to your workplace representative or FSU Organiser to find out how you can get involved in bargaining.
