Cbus wellbeing survey, restructure, and townhall

We’ve got some important updates on various issues happening at Cbus. Please read the below information carefully, and if you have any questions or concerns, you can reply to this email and we’ll be in touch.

Early insights from Cbus wellbeing survey

Today is world mental health day (10 October) and this year’s theme is ‘Connect with your community’.

It’s a fitting theme, with our union community here to help make Cbus employees feel safe, seen and heard at work

The survey results have so far shown some important insights into how you feel about work pressures and stressors at Cbus:

  • 90% said you’re thinking about work when you’re not at work.
  • 87% said you feel stressed or under pressure at work at least some of the time.
  • 65% of you feel comfortable in some way with raising concerns.
  • 41% said issues raised are not adequately addressed.

We will be using the results to help shape and improve health and safety at Cbus. Remember, knowing what is working well is just as important as identifying gaps and concerns.

Will the Group Risk restructure impact you?

Cbus is running a consultation period for proposed changes with Group Risk between 7 – 14 October. These proposed changes include creating new teams, removing three roles, reporting line changes, role title changes, and 30 new positions.

The idea is to have Group Risk more deeply embedded in each Cbus division.

If you are impacted by these proposed changes or are unsure, please reach out to your Cbus Workplace Representatives Bill Rue and Caroline Troup or contact your FSU Organiser Laf Zuccarello at.

Concerned about the recent MEX townhall?

Getting the correct information from our Cbus leaders is paramount.

Some FSU members have told us that information shared at the recent Cbus MEX townhall about ‘blended work’ is not aligned with our Enterprise Agreement.

We have raised this matter directly with Cbus management and have requested that the record be corrected.

If you have any feedback about this townhall that you would like to confidentially share with the FSU, please email your FSU Organiser Laf Zuccarello at.
