Four-day week trial, pay rises and more: What we’ve won at Insignia

Today, Insignia announced that 68% of staff voted ‘yes’ in the ballot for our new Enterprise Agreement (EA).

Together, we have significantly improved Insignia’s position and delivered real protections and improvements to our working conditions. These include:

  • Guaranteed annual pay increases for those earning up to $130,000 TFR
  • Guaranteed funding for discretionary pool and a reconsideration/dispute process
  • Additional one-off $1200 cost of living payment for all staff
  • Increases to superannuation
  • An industry first trial of a four-day work week
  • AI protections regarding decision-making processes and transparency around how AI is used
  • Increased parental leave to 16 weeks paid for either parent
  • Crystallisation of heritage severance pay entitlements
  • Increasing severance pay from 36 weeks to 52 weeks
  • Greater protections around working from home rights, including expanding exemption categories
  • More leave entitlements, and more.

This is a strong outcome representing the enormous campaigning effort of members. We can all be proud of what we’ve achieved together.

Next steps

The Agreement will now be submitted to the Fair Work Commission for final approval. The FSU will continue to monitor the progress of the EA through the Commission and will let members know when it is approved.

Building a better workplace

While this new agreement provides real improvements – both financially and in terms of work/life balance – it does not represent everything we wanted to achieve in this round of negotiations. So there’s more to do over the next three years

Our ability to negotiate for better pay and conditions through bargaining directly relates to our strength on the ground.

To continue building upon this EA we must keep our union strong and active across Insignia – so if you’re not yet an FSU member, now is the time to join

Congratulations on all we’ve achieved in this EA. Together, we are making a difference.
