FSU Human Rights Network

Overview

We started the FSU Human Rights Network because we believe in making a real difference, starting right where we work in the finance sector.

Our workplaces aren't just about financial success; they're a melting pot of diverse experiences and values that make us stronger. Together, we're bringing this strength to issues that matter to us – in our workplaces, our communities, and globally.

Our vision

We're not just finance professionals; we're a community determined to hold our sector accountable for human rights. We stand together to protect human rights everywhere, in every interaction.

Educate

Let’s talk about the real impact we can have on human rights and inspire each other to drive positive change.

Change

We're here to make a genuine difference in how the finance sector approaches human rights.

Empower

There are so many ways we, as finance professionals, can influence and improve human rights in our industry. Let’s explore them together.

Our work

Our members have teamed up with various organisations to ensure banks meet their human rights obligations.

This effort has touched lives globally – from helping Cambodian sugar farmers to supporting those under military rule in Myanmar. And it's not just about faraway places; we're making changes locally too, like securing paid domestic violence leave, gender affirmation leave, and ensuring superannuation is paid on parental leave.

We’re making it clear to our employers: human rights matter, both locally and globally, and we're committed to this cause.

How we can help ?

I’m in! What’s the plan?

If AMP isn’t going to come to the table to negotiate our conditions with us, then we’ll need to force them.

And we will do that by securing a majority support determination (MSD). That sounds complicated, but all it means is that a majority of people working at AMP (or in a particular business area of AMP) vote to say they want to bargain – then AMP is legally obligated to negotiate. Of course, there are some legal hoops we need to jump through, but right now the most important thing you can do is click here to join us.

Now is the time to get as many of our colleagues involved and engaged in our campaign as possible.
